Exciting News from The Firepit Company.
Hi everyone, Diana here from The Firepit Company! Jason and I are pleased to share some news about a project close to our hearts. We recently donated a brand-new firepit bowl and tripod to Clements Primary School’s Forest
School program. It’s already making a big difference in enhancing the students’ outdoor learning experiences.
Fire’s Role in Outdoor Learning
As some of you might know, Jason and I took over The Firepit Company last year. With both of us coming from education backgrounds and sharing a love for outdoor learning, this felt like a perfect opportunity to give back to the community. We’re huge believers in how fire can transform outdoor education, especially in Forest School programs. Cooking over a fire teaches practical skills like fire safety and food preparation while encouraging creativity and confidence. Learning to build and manage a fire also fosters resilience, patience, and teamwork in a hands-on way. So, when we heard about Clements Primary School’s Forest School, we knew we wanted to help.
Supporting an Amazing Program
The Forest School program at Clements is amazing. Kids explore the outdoors year-round, learning through hands-on activities. The new firepit bowl and tripod are already being used for fire-building and outdoor cooking. These activities help students develop independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills in a fun, safe environment. Vicky Hogg, the Headteacher, shared with us:
“We were thrilled to receive the donation from The Firepit Company. The firepit bowl not only replaces our worn-out grill but beautifully upgrades the fire circle. The firepit bowl looks amazing, and the children will enjoy using it to cook their Forest School snack on.”
Building Connections Through Fire
At The Firepit Company, we love crafting firepits that bring people together. Seeing our work inspire and educate the next generation is incredibly rewarding. We hope this donation helps the students connect with nature and develop a lifelong love for outdoor learning. Working with Clements Primary School has been a great experience.
