This summer, on a warm evening in early August, stylist and entertaining expert Natalie Rushdie turned her garden into a set piece built entirely around fire. The theme was “Cooking Over Fire”, the dress code “Summer Chic”, and guests gathered poolside for what’s become one of our favourite collaborations of the year — The Fire Dinner Party.
Two Firepits, Front and Centre
We brought two of our firepits to anchor the evening — one beside the pool, glowing away as the sun went down and the candles came out along the table.

One of them was a custom piece we made especially for Natalie’s family — a hand-cut silhouette scene of the family, with their dog, walking beneath the trees. Once the fire’s lit, every cut-out throws its own flicker of light.

MiniBlaze on the Table
Fire wasn’t just for the garden’s edge — it came to the table too. Natalie dotted our MiniBlaze tabletop firepits among the dishes, keeping a flame going right through the courses.

The Food: Gastronomy, Delivita & Bertha
For the food, we introduced Natalie to Chris Holland and Joshua James of Gastronomy, who cooked live over fire throughout the night. A Delivita wood-fired pizza oven turned out blistered, charred bases course after course.

Alongside it, a Bertha charcoal oven handled the rest of the spread, with Chris working both ovens through the evening.

Both ovens are part of our outdoor cooking range, and available to order for your own garden.
An Evening to Remember

It’s exactly the kind of evening we love building towards — good fire, good food, and a garden that feels like an occasion. If you’re planning a dinner party, wedding or event around fire, get in touch and we’ll help you put the right pieces together.
